Like our Maple Leaf design, this image is taken from one of Nick’s original photographs. He’s used the image as an ornament on his blown glass pieces, and we thought it would like beautiful on a shirt, too.
For these designs, Nick first takes macro photos of different types of leaves, capturing their delicate lines and veins. Then these images are digitally edited to enhance the contrast and create transparencies, which are exposed onto the silkscreens. Next, they're handprinted onto the shirt fabric with water-based, eco-friendly inks.
All Blackhare tees are preshrunk and handprinted in Toronto using water-based, eco-friendly inks. A great design on a bad shirt is no good, so we made sure to prioritize fit and feel for our tees by choosing super soft and comfy CVC material with a fit that won't lose its shape after repeated washes.
